The Bluey episode about ADHD

Bluey, the show about anthropomorphized dogs, is one of my favorite shows of all time.

And one of my favorite episodes of the show is “Army,” which introduces us to Jack, a Jack Russell Terrier who very clear has ADHD, though it’s never outright said.

Like every topic on Bluey, Jack’s ADHD and the challenge he faces are presented with a perfect mix of honesty, nuance, humor, love, and acceptance. It so perfectly captures what my experience with ADHD was like as a kid, and often still is as an adult.

Child psychologist Dr. Jaque has a fantastic video on the episode where she watches along and comments on each segment.

While she analyzes it from the perspective of a child with ADHD, so much of what she says rings true for adults as well.
