Get outside

Sometimes, your ADHD brain is just a big fuzzy mess.

I’m a big fan of working with where your current mental state at rather than trying to fight it. But sometimes, the feeling is really unpleasant and you want it gone.

One little hack that gets me moving in the right direction is to get outside.

ADHD brains crave dopamine. We don’t naturally produce enough of it, and it’s where a lot of our symptoms come from.

Sunlight triggers dopamine production in your brain.

Take a walk. Go on a hike. Sit outside and listen to the birds.

Just get outside.

Does it work? Not 100 percent of the time. But at a minimum, it can help you feel less fuzzy in the brain than if you just stayed inside staring at your computer screen.
